Ride Up Grades is hiring!

Make a difference in the lives of our young riders. Build up their bike skills, teamwork and self-worth!

We are currently looking for coaches for our 2023 Season, both for the July and August Summer Camp and future programming.

Summer Camp Bike Coach Positions 

$50/hour + lunch daily

Location(s)/Dates:

Manhattan Based Camp - weekdays July 10-22 9-6pm 

Coney Island Brooklyn Camp August 7-11 9am-6pm

We are looking for someone who enjoys sharing the joys of biking with new people, and can ride safely with a group. 

Days consist of bringing up the fleet, taking kids to the park, coaching riders on drills and riding to destinations in the city as a group. We will be on the bike all day. If it rains more than a drizzle, we cancel. We provide water, snacks, and lunch for everyone (coaches, kids, and volunteer riders).

Requirements:

-Clean background check

-Demonstrated ability to ride a road bicycle (LCIs and USAC coaches preferred)

-Experience working with youth (local teachers and coaches preferred)

-MUST know how to change a flat tire

-Ability to Lift 40lbs (to carry a bike up the stairs)

 

Preferred:

-Experience working with special needs students

-Social worker certifications

-First AID CPR AED certification

-Has own road bike
