Leaders after school program

Leaders School has its own bike club!

 This program runs Tuesdays afterschool and one weekend day per week for fun destination rides like Shirley Chisolm and Prospect Park - all in preparation for the big final ride of the year!   

 

Students at the school learn to ride drop bar bikes, do roadside repairs like fixing flats and chains, and navigate safely on public streets around drivers. 

 

The goal of the program is to circumnavigate Jamaica Bay by bike. To do this, we will develop independence and physical fitness - ride far, stay fit, and have fun! This is also a unique program for college applications. Stand out from the crowd!
